KinderRijk collects for Stichting Babyspullen and donates ‘Warm-in-the-Cradle’ kits
What happens when you collect baby stuff at 49 KinderRijk locations? Yes indeed. What you get is loads, literally truck loads full of stuff. Bags and sacks filled to the top arrived at the locations. KinderRijk’s storage is absolutely full!
All donated items will go to Stichting Babyspullen – an organisation that supports (expecting) parents living in poverty with baby starter kits. These kits contain clothing, care products, bed and bath linen, toys, and other essential baby items – either new or gently used. Everything needed for a warm and safe start.
What Stichting Babyspullen does really makes a difference. The first thousand days of a child’s life are crucial. But not every family has the means to make the most of that period. By offering practical help, the foundation reduces stress for parents and increases the opportunities for their child’s development.
KinderRijk didn’t just donate baby items – we also made an extra contribution. On behalf of every location, we donated a ‘Warm-in-the-Cradle’ kit. With this financial donation, Stichting Babyspullen can add exactly the items that are often still missing: a hot-water bottle, a blanket and a wrap.
Meike (Pedagogiek & kwaliteit) and Lenneke (location manager at Aalberselaan) handed over the symbolic cheque on behalf of KinderRijk. During their visit, they also received a tour of the Stichting Babyspullen warehouse, where they saw how carefully each kit is put together. With this initiative, we contribute to our annual theme: ‘A promising future for everyone’. And we’re proud to have made this possible together with parents and colleagues. 💛
