Our Mauritskade nursery is located in the green area of Oosterpark in a beautiful monumental school building. The rooms exude a nostalgic atmosphere and are all decorated with care. The various corners, vistas and play areas make sure that children have endless fun. We overlook the Oosterpark from our beautiful front garden. In addition to the front garden, we also have an adventurous nature garden with plenty of opportunities to play and explore. Which is unique for a childcare centre in Amsterdam.
The team at this day care is highly experienced and diverse. Our warm welcome creates a feeling of familiarity. We make sure to have a good understanding of the children and our activities match their interests and needs. We do this by providing music, dance and exercise activities as well as creative and cooking activities and exploring nature.

What does a day look like with us?
Babies follow a daily schedule according to their own needs

Between 08:00 and 9:15 a.m., we welcome your child and discuss how your child is doing. 09.30
After you have said goodbye to each other, we will start at the table. We sing songs, talk to children about what they are up to and discuss what we are going to do that day. We also have something small to eat and drink. 10.30
There is room for free play and activities aimed at the child’s development. This can be either inside the group or central hall or outside in the garden. 11.30
Lunchtime! We will have lunch together with the children. This is either a cold lunch or a hot lunch. The older children help set and clear the table. 13.00
The younger children take an afternoon nap and the older children take a rest in the group. Have the older children taken a rest? Then they go off to play freely. 15.00
When most children are awake, it is time to eat and drink something. After this, the children can participate in an activity focused on the child’s development or play freely. From 4 p.m. you can pick up your child again and it’s time for the handover with the educational staff member and to go through the day. The educational staff member will particularly go into your child’s growth during the day. Practical information
Settling in at day care
During the settling-in period, we take the time to get to know your child and you, and to let you get used to the new situation. Settling in an individual process suited to the developmental stage of children and to the specific needs and habits of the children and the parents.

At day care Mauritskade , we have 4 vertical groups. This means that care is provided to children of different ages between 0 and 4 together.

Hello, my name is Tanja, location manager at day care Mauritskade. I have over 20 years of experience in childcare. I have been working at KinderRijk since April 2022 and I’m truly enjoying it.
“Outdoor play is vital to us at the day care and because of the huge outdoor space we have, there are plenty of opportunities for explorations.
