In addition to the Parents Committees at all locations, KinderRijk also has a Central Parents Council. The Central Parent Council is an independent advisory body, consisting of a group of permanent parents of KinderRijk, which strives for the most balanced possible reflection of the Amstelveen/Amsterdam regions and the various forms of childcare.
The Central Parents Council is a discussion partner for the Chairman of the Board of directors of KinderRijk on topics that are important to all parents and children within the organization. Parents Committees can transfer their advisory rights for these subjects to the Central Parents Council by means of an authorization. Think, for example, of the general pedagogical policy, the policy on nutrition, safety and health or the rates of childcare.
In addition, the Central Parents Council also discusses various other key points in its consultation with the Board of directors, such as the range of activities, cooperation with education, vaccination policy and parent participation.
The Central Parent Council is looking for members
Do you care about the development of your son or daughter’s childcare and this is something you would you like to dedicate yourself to? Are you looking for an interesting sideline job? Then this will be a great opportunity to gain experience! Or would you be keen to make a meaningful contribution to a social organisation such as KinderRijk?
You do not need any substantive knowledge or Parent Committee experience. You enjoy discussing the policy, are able to ask critical questions and contribute your own initiatives. Furthermore, you are a good collaborator, have strong communication skills and are able to maintain an overview of the locations in your considerations (i.e. for all children and parents).
