KinderRijk pays a lot of attention to the layout and furnishings, and the variety of materials used in all its indoor and outdoor areas. The areas offer peace and quiet and are safe but challenging. They rouse your children’s curiosity and creativity, Peepholes to the other groups and to outside broaden your child’s horizons for a bigger world. And with a rich variety of activities on offer, everything is there to make it an enjoyable place to be every day.
Inviting playthings
Your child enters a room in which the playthings are laid out ready for use. Everything’s invitingly at eye level, so your child can easily pick what they want to play with. A lot of things can be used in many different ways and this stimulates the imagination. Not all the playthings come from a shop or were designed as a toy. There are wooden spoons, egg boxes, empty milk cartons, pieces of fabric, blocks of wood; they all inspire imaginative play whatever the age!
Outdoor play every day
All the children go outside to play every day – whatever the weather. Most of our centers have special natural playgrounds with sand, stone, wood, waterslides, vegetable gardens and much, much more. It’s an exciting environment that encourages adventurous and imaginative play. Each age range demands a different outdoor setup. Areas for the littlest ones have more attention paid to being able to make discoveries and explore boundaries safely; the older children need more challenges. At the after-school care centers, emphasis is placed on sports and games.
