Points

The KinderRijk parent app/web portal can be used to accumulate points by reporting your child’s absence on time. The following conditions apply:

Accumulating points

  • Points are accumulated by reporting your child absent using the parent app/web portal before 6.30 pm on the day beforehand.
  • Accumulated points are valid for 12 months.
  • Public holidays are not included in the scheme.
  • A child-care morning, afternoon or full day will be 1 point for all types of child care.

Good to know:

  • You accumulate compensation points by reporting your child absent before 6.30 pm on the day before via the parent app/web portal.
  • Points are child-related and apply per child-care type. If a child switches from daycare to after-school care, the counter will start at 0 for after-school care.
  • A child-care morning, afternoon or full day will be 1 point for all types of child care.
  • We transfer to a maximum amount of points for the compensation of absence. The maximum will be seven points (1 point equals the notification of 1 absence).
  • Accrued points will be valid for one calendar year.
  • Points cannot be exchanged for financial compensation and cannot be transferred.
  • For after-school care, there is no longer a distinction between the use of points for a regular school day, holiday and school-closing day.
  • Public holidays are not covered by the scheme.
  • Absence is not deducted from the invoice.
  • When requesting a care day, please indicate whether you want to use points or whether you want to be charged.
  • Reporting absence or requesting a care day is possible up to 12 weeks in advance.
  • The request for a care day will not be granted earlier than 30 days in advance. You can indicate an expiration date of your application with the application.
  • If you have cancelled a care day for your child, and later on it appears you need the care day after all, you will have to make another request for such care day.
